A BIT ABOUT ME
I was born and raised in Denmark and graduated from Teko in Herning in 2014 with a bachelor's degree and then from Kolding Design School with a master's degree in fashion design. I have been nominated for Design Talent 2015 and have had an exhibition at the Heart Museum in connection with the exhibition - "Clash- Modstand i Moden".
I advocate sustainable design with a strong focus on better use of resources and recycling. Liselotte Hornstrup's strength lies in the unique way of processing the materials, which is evident in the reflective and creative design process.

All
collections are
produced in
Central Jutland. I
design, construct, and grade
all styles in sizes, and then all the
patterns, as well as a sales sample are
handed over to the production studio,
who then sew the clothes. It
decreases incredibly much freight
with samples, it decreases errors in
production and then we avoid a lot of
waiting time. Mostly, it takes 3
months from the first design
until it reaches
the shops.

Why is // Liselotte
Hornstrup // slow fashion?
That's because everything is
made in Denmark and nothing is
mass produced. Many styles are made
of left-over fabrics from the industry,
which means that it cannot be
produced in bulk. There are no mass
production benefits,
everything is done in house except
the sewing of the finished
style.
BUY LITTLE,
BUT GOOD
Almost
every style in
the collections is made with
a timeless DNA to it. I do not want
to make clothes that are trend-based
and it must be able to last a long time. All clothing can be used many times and be
passed on when you do not want
to use it yourself any longer.
The different styles can be mixed and matched and worn together in many
ways. That is the true joy
of clothes.
